Acclaimed romance novelists Sarah Duncan and Emily Barr will join us at Exeter Central Library to read from their latest works and discuss the passionate world of the romance writer and what it takes to translate love and life to the page.

Sarah Duncan is a novelist and screenwriter whose most recent novel, Kissing Mr Wrong, was shortlisted for the Romantic Novel of the Year. Her novels are published in fourteen countries around the world including the USA, France and Germany. Sarah is the Royal Literary Fund fellow at the University of Bath and has taught the Fiction Writing Workshop for the University of Bristol for the past eight years.

Emily Barr is the bestselling author of ten novels and a former Guardian journalist. Her first novel, Backpack, won the WHSmith New Talent award in 2001. Other novels include Plan B, The Perfect Lie, and, most recently, The First Wife, published by Headline in May 2011. Her novels are translated into many different languages and published all over the world.
