The Exeter Music Group Symphony Orchestra is the largest of its type in the South West of England, drawing our support and audience from a wide area.
This performance on 21 April in Exeter's atmospheric historic Cathedral will feature two of the most well known orchestral works:
Holst - The Planets
Elgar - Enigma Variations
Conducted by Marion Wood
Leader Clare Smith
The original Exeter Music Group was founded in 1967 and over the past fortyfive years has grown to the full-scale symphony orchestra that exists today. THE EMGSO provides musicians with the opportunity to perform a wide range of repertoire working with talented soloists and local choral societies, as well as professional conductors and music tutors.
