At high spring tide it is completely covered by water. Very picturesque area. A short walk into the town centre.

Pay parking is mainly at the recreation ground or large car park near the town centre.

Dog bins are provided and dogs are welcomed all year-round.

Activities:

Fishing, paddling, windsurfing, sailing, water skiing, kiteboarding, and boating

Facilities:

Toilets are available including disabled facilities at the entrance to the recreation ground. Cafes, restuarants and pubs are a short walk into town.

The main slipway on the recreation ground has a gentle shelf in to shallow water and is only really usable from mid to high tide.
