Dartmoor Way
The Dartmoor Way is an ideal way to explore some of the less well-known sides of Dartmoor at any time of the year. The circular route offers over 90 miles of generally easy walking through a fantastic variety of scenery all set around the moorland edge.
Treat yourself to a day out, a long weekend to walk a short section of the route or a full week to visit some of the many attractions along the way; you will discover leafy lanes and sheltered valleys, delightful historic towns and picture postcard villages, open skies
and panoramic vistas of the open moor set around the moorland edge.
The trail can be accessed by bus and/or train routes to allow for short lengths to be walked. The route passes through Okehampton, Chagford, Moretonhampstead, Buckfastleigh, Princetown, and Tavistock, linking with the following trails: Tarka Trail; Taw-Teign Link; West Devon Way; Two Castles Trail; Templer Way; Devonshire Heartland Way; Two Moors Way.
