Abbotshood cycle hire

Abbotshood Cycle Hire is situated approximately midway along the 11.5 mile length of the Grand Western Canal in the lovely Mid Devon countryside to the east of Tiverton. The canal offers 23 miles of safe flat cycling for all the family and we are able to supply bikes with baby seats, trailers for the toddler and tag-a-longs for the children who haven't quite mastered the art of cycling. All types of bikes are available to suit anyone from the experienced cyclist to the lady (or gent) who likes to cycle in comfort, to the small cyclist who is football crazy!!

As a small working farm we are able to offer extended opening hours throughout the year, which means that all our visitors can plan the day around what they want to do and not our opening hours. We also offer a delivery and collection service (free within a 10 mile radius, minimal charge for further), this is particularly useful if you are staying for the week and want to cycle elsewhere (there are also cycle racks available to hire). If you are without a car we can meet you at Tiverton Parkway station or Tiverton Bus Station.

We also enjoy having large groups, so for example, if you have a company sports and social club wanting to find something different to do, how about a cycle along the canal, stopping for a drink and evening meal at one of the local pubs!

We pride ourselves on being open to any request however strange! The choice is yours! So please contact us by phone or email and we will do our best to help.

There are some added extras...as we are a small farm there are a small number of animals, including hens and sheep which the children enjoy especially in the spring during lambing. We also grow asparagus, raspberries, blueberries, rhubarb etc. which are available in season to visitors!

OPEN ALL YEAR - DAWN TILL DUSK!
