About the Heart of Devon
The Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership is the Area Tourism Partnership, and local membership organisation broadly for the areas of East Devon, Exeter, Mid Devon and parts of Teignbridge. The Heart of Devon exists to promote and unlock the full potential of the area as a year round sustainable destination. It's aim is for the area to be recognised as one of the premier holiday destinations within the region through all aspects of tourism promotion, including marketing to the consumer,group and conference market.
The Heart of Devon's role is to help businesses to thrive, offer marketing and advertising opportunities, business support initiatives and membership benefits. The company is the first point of contact for member businesses. It is a not for profit Company Limited by Guarantee and is led by a private / public sector partnership, ensuring that any profits made are put back into the marketing and development of successful tourism related businesses within the broad area covered by the Heart of Devon.

Visit Devon promotes Devon as a great place to visit - for leisure or business. It's the county's Destination Management Organisation (DMO). Visit Devon promotes Devon as the primary UK destination for visitors. A place that promotes sustainability, delivers quality, welcomes world class events and offers a quality of life experience that is second to none.
The professional and committed team at Visit Devon seeks to market the breadth and depth of the Devon leisure and business tourism offer by working closely with the county's six Area Tourism Partnerships (ATPs).
About the the Heart of Devon Membership Scheme
As from April 2010 you will have the opportunity to join the Heart of Devon commercial membership scheme. It is a membership scheme that allows you to use all of our promotional channels to reach your target audiences, giving you access to 24 hour, global promotion. How do I sign up to the membership scheme?

Accommodation Inspection
In order to become a member of the Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership, accommodation businesses must have an up to date inspection, either through the AA, Visit Britain, or the local Heart of Devon Inspection Scheme - click here for more information on the local scheme, including fees.
