Exeter Corn Exchange hosts a popular comedy club, ballroom dancing and seasonal programmes of quality entertainment. Exeter Barnfield Theatre has a varied programme of community theatre, comedy, music, dance and family shows.

Exeter is a city of year-round festivals. These include the annual Exeter Summer Festival with national and international artists, cathedral concerts and free outdoor entertainment. The Royal Albert Memorial Museum is currently undergoing an exciting redevelopment, due to reopen in 2011. Whilst the building is being redeveloped, the museum will be hosting a wide range of Out & About events and exhibitions. Spacex contemporary art gallery has exhibitions by international artists, workshops and talks.
