Silver Lion Jewellers was established in Ashburton 25 years ago and expanded to Newton Abbot and then to Exeter. The original founder of the Silver Lion Jewellers then sold the Newton Abbot and Exeter shops to their respective managers separately. The Silver Lion Jewellers at Exeter was bought by Louise Wraith in 2003 who had successfully run the shop for 13 years. A jeweller's workshop was soon established on the first floor of the Exeter shop and now a part-time jeweller, Mr Brian Brownsell, and a full-time apprentice jeweller, Miss Jenny Hubbard, work on the premises making stock, repairing jewellery and carrying out commissions. Louise has her own beading workshop on the premises and creates unique bead work using gemstones and handmade silver and gold beads.
The shop displays an abundance of handmade jewellery from around the world. Wherever possible we promote and sell fairtrade jewellery. Each piece is carefully handpicked for stock, so many items are unique. We also sell Tianguis Jackson, Benor, Kit Heath, Sea Gems, Charm Links (bead charms which are compatible with "Troll Beads" and "Pandora"), Marcasite jewellery, Ortak, St Justin, handmade Israeli jewellery, exclusive Polish jewellery which includes some award-winning designer pieces, Dichuolicious, Amber jewellery and many many more!
We sell gold jewellery. Most of our stock is 9ct gold although our handmade diamond rings are 18ct. We are able to do commissions in all precious metals including platinum and palladium. We also have a good restringing service.
