Valley View is a spacious self-contained annex of our family country house, and is ideally suited for a couple seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Devonshire countryside, whilst remaining within easy access of the capital city of Exeter.
The apartment offers modern facilities, whilst being furnished in the traditional country style. The accommodation consists of a large and light lounge-diner with south-facing double patio doors overlooking the extensive gardens and lovely wooded valley beyond. The country-style kitchen is fully equipped and also contains a pine breakfast-table. The comfortable bedroom has a kingsize bed and ample storage, and is attached to a spacious en-suite shower room.
The large two-acre garden, which slopes gently down to the wooded valley, is very pretty with many flowering shrubs and mature trees and garden furniture is provided for the guests on their patio. There is also ample parking on the gravel drive at the front of the property.
The house, which nestles within the Haldon Hills on the fringes of the Teign Valley, is about 3 miles to the west of Exeter, offering easy access to the University and the shops and sites of the city, and is also situated conveniently 3 miles from the A30 and 5 miles from the M5 motorway. Furthermore, it also provides an ideal base for visiting the pretty beaches of Exmouth and Dawlish, and for savouring the rugged beauty of Dartmoor.
The nearby hamlets of Ide and Longdown are about a mile away, and Ide offers two excellent pubs, a local store, as well as a school and church.
Fresh flowers and a special tray will await the guests on arrival, to welcome them to our lovely home.
