Exeter Thistle Hotel

The four star Rougemont Hotel is an elegant Victorian building situated near the Exeter Central railway station. The Rougemont Hotel is an ideal base from which to explore this historic city. You can walk straight into the city centre, with its fine shopping, Roman walls and beautiful Cathedral or visit the nearby Rougemont Gardens.

Rougemont Gardens were described by one Victorian writer as 'a gem set in the heart of Exeter'. The same description could easily be applied to the Rougemont Hotel.

We have 98 bedrooms and suites, the majority of which are newly refurbished. We also have a newly refurbished restaurant and 10 meeting rooms. Exeter is a popular choice for business meetings, with our largest room seating 300 people theatre style. With our elegant appointments and luxury setting, the Rougemont Hotel is also one of the city's leading wedding venues.
