Southernhay House

Southernhay House Hotel is a new boutique hotel in the centre of Exeter, a social hub in the heart of the city’s Georgian business district just a stone’s throw from Cathedral Close. Taking its cue from the history of the house and the gregarious Georgians who first built it and lived here, Southernhay House is an elegant interpretation of the 19th century through a modern eye. Furnishing is eclectic, individual and chic; this is a town house which is as contemporary today as it was in 1805 when first built.

The Hotel is a sister hotel to the iconic Burgh Island www.burghisland.com and offers the same luxury standards at very respectable city-center prices. With only 10 bedrooms, Southernhay House is almost like your club in town; the perfect place to eat, meet and sleep in the City centre. Staff are passionate and knowledgeable: whether about the menus, the facilities in the Hotel or Exeter itself – Southernhay House is a neat mix of sophistication and enthusiasm.
