Rudge Rew Cottage, a comfortable country cottage, is situated on 177-acre livestock farm in the heart of rural Devon.

Rudge Rew Cottage, originally two farm worker’s cottages has been converted into a spacious 4-bedroom dwelling sleeping up to 7 people plus baby. All the bedrooms are on the first floor and comprises of one double with washbasin, two twins and one single. Also on this floor is a bathroom with over bath electric shower and a shower room with washbasin. The ground floor accommodation comprised of a kitchen, dining room, lounge, children’s play room and toilet with hand basin. Smoking is allowed in this property. There is an enclosed lawned garden to the rear of the property. The heating comprises of a night storage heater on the landing, electric radiators in the bedrooms, heated towel rail in the bathroom, night storage heaters in the children’s play room, lounge and dining room together with an open log fire in the lounge, electric fire in the dining room and electric radiator in the kitchen.

The property is supplied with a 4-hob electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/drier, colour television, video and CD/tape/radio and a barbecue, picnic table and chairs in the garden. Included in the price are bed linen, towels, fuel and electricity. A cot and a high chair are available. There is off-road parking.

Children are warmly welcomed but we do not accept pets.

The farm is mainly grassland and has a wide variety of flora, fauna and birds including beautiful wild flowers, roe deer, badgers, birds of prey, wild duck and also brown trout in the River Dalch. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful as can be seen from the panoramic view from the Colts Hill field. An ideal place to rest and unwind, it is also central for exploring Dartmoor, Exmoor, North and South coasts and the host of hidden Devon villages.

There are many local recommended eating places in the nearby villages. The closest village of Morchard Bishop through which passes the famous Two Moors Way has the longest thatched row of cottages in Devon.

Available nearby are many sporting activities from golf and fishing to swimming and riding. There are around 40 public footpaths around the village of Morchard Bishop and laminated maps of 10 local walks are provided together with a map of all the footpaths in the parish.
