This magnificent Regency building, dating from 1810, enjoys a prime position at the centre of Sidmouth's elegant esplanade, overlooking the sea and adjacent to the picturesque town centre. Owned and run by the Hook family, resident proprietors for more than sixty years, the hotel has earned a long-standing reputation for hospitality and offers excellent facilities.
Our restaurant retains the traditional high standards of silver service coupled with caring personal attention. The menus, which combine the best of both classic and modern cuisine, are prepared using the finest of local fresh produce by our highly regarded head chef Mark Leavers and his team.
The spacious ground floor has 3 beautifully appointed lounges in which to relax. The elegant lounge bar overlooking the sea and Esplanade serves a selection of light lunches and snacks daily. For guests' enjoyment, evening entertainment including music for dancing, is offered after dinner on 4 nights each week.
Many of the bedrooms enjoy sea views and the larger deluxe rooms, offering added amenities and comfort, lead to the balcony. Two lifts serve all floors and the well appointed bedrooms offer en suite facilities, direct dial telephone, remote control colour TV, radio, video link, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
Superb new boutique spa "Aspara", located on the lower ground floor; it includes a hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sauna and offers face and body spa treatments.
