Situated 9 miles east of the Cathedral City of Exeter and 2 miles from the A30 make this country house bed and breakfast a perfect base for leisure and business. Located in East Devon it is convenient for Exeter International Airport, the M5, Honiton and main line railway from Waterloo. Visit Britain 5 stars with Gold Award.
All rooms have effective lighting, spacious hanging cupboard with bathrobes and, of course, wooden hangers. Really comfortable Vi-Spring beds with fine cotton linen and goose down duvets ensure a fabulously restorative sleep.
Bathrooms have enamel double ended baths, with separate walk-in high pressure shower. Molton Brown soaps, shampoo and body lotion are provided; well lit, heated wall mirrors ensure mist free use.
The Drawing Room provides an exclusive and private venue for meetings for twelve people. It is excellent for board meetings and other confidential appointments where discretion is a priority.
The house is set in eight acres of land surrounded by countryside and is within easy reach of Dartmoor, Exmoor, the Jurassic Coast, beaches and the Eden Project. Escot Park ½ mile; Ottery St Mary 4 miles; Westpoint 8 miles. Nearby golf courses include Woodbury Park, East Devon and Honiton. Excellent fishing can be found locally. Larkbeare Grange is essentially Georgian and has commanding views to the South, East and West.
Following restoration to bring the house into the 21st century Larkbeare Grange now provides first-rate accommodation.
Charlie and Julia Hutchings enjoy entertaining their guests, along with the help of their young daughter, Joanna. Charlie has considerable experience having worked for the Savoy Group, The Halkin and St James’s Club in London. Julia spent many years working in Hong Kong and America and has brought a wealth of ideas from her travels. The attention to detail will make your stay both comfortable and memorable.
