The holiday cottages are situated in a peaceful location, high above the Culm valley on one of the oldest Prince of Wales Duchy estates. We have some of the most breathtaking views of the countryside beyond. It is an idyllic place for a relaxing holiday or short break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.
We have two cottages and a romantic barn conversion to choose from to cater for all your needs, whether you are a family, group of friends or a couple. All are individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. Each with its' own secluded garden and superb views. The Old Farmhouse is very spacious and superb for family or friend get togethers, whilst Poorman's Cot is more cosy and compact, just right for a small family. The Cider Barn is an ideal retreat for couples to relax and take time out.
We are fully committed to sustainable farming, preserving the countryside and protecting the environment, this commitment extends to the holiday accommodation as well.
Our Green policy is under continuous development and includes:
-Organic delivery service available of locally produced fruit & vegetables
-Green waste is recycled by being fed to the chickens and Rosie & Cola the goats
-We recycle paper, glass, cans, plastic containers etc
-Recycled goods such as bin liners, kitchen roll, toilet rolls are used
-Low energy light bulbs are used where practical
-All the cottages are on a green electricity tariff
-All new appliances have an A energy rating
-We use ecologically friendly, bio-degradeable cleaning products
There is an abundance of wildlife on the farm and you will be very welcome to take a stroll through the fields or by the river to see if you can spot the badgers, foxes, rabbit, buzzards etc. We also invite you to watch our organic dairy cows being milked and depending on the time of year, there may be new born calves and baby lambs to see. For more on the farm follow the link.
Children will love feeding our free range organic hens, making friends with Rosi & Cola our Pygmy goats or riding our Vinky or Merlin our Shetland ponies. Surrounded by fields, there is plenty of space for them to safely play. We also have a small enclosed play area with a full-size trampoline and little wendy-house.
We now have wireless broadband in each cottage, free of charge.
