Fursdon is an elegant manor house nestling in some of the most beautiful countryside to be found in Devon. It is the family home of the Furdson’s, whose ancestors have lived on the estate since 1259. Within the house are two delightful private apartments available for self-catering holiday accommodation throughout the year.
Park Wing – elegant and spacious sleeps six people in three roomy bedrooms, one with an en-suite and has stunning views from the main south facing windows out across the parkland towards Dartmoor. The furnishings are tasteful and the contemporary kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave etc and everything you could want for your holiday. In addition there are crisp cotton sheets and large fluffy towels for you to use at no extra costs.
Garden Wing – a cottagey feel but still very roomy. The sitting room still has the original Georgian panelling and was once the family’s schoolroom. From here you can walk straight out into the pretty and well-stocked garden. This apartment is also well equipped and luxurious. It comfortably sleeps therein one spacious double room and one single room.
Both wings are centrally heated and also have cosy open fires. There are window seats and shelves full of books for you to idle the time away reading and looking at the lovely views. Televisions and DVD players are provided if you just want to sit and relax.
