Forest glade is a quiet, attractive park set in a forest clearing with well-kept grounds and beech hedge screening, situated on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in rural Mid Devon. One of the main attractions is the surrounding forest, which offers magnificent hillside walks with surprising views over the countryside and sightings of deer – if you are lucky.

Family-owned and run for the past 30 years, the 16 acre site has 80 touring pitches, many with electric hook-ups and hard standings, with are suitable for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. For those who prefer a self-catering holiday we have a small fleet of 25 holiday caravans, some of which are suitable for pets. There is also a separate camping field for those who like space and the freedom to pitch where they choose. Guides, scouts and rallies are welcome.

Forest Glade is open during spring and autumn for those who prefer to see the seasons’ changing colours and throughout the summer we offer space, freedom and adventure. The free indoor heated pool and the adventure play areas keep the children amused for hours. There is also a sauna, tennis court, area for ball games, a games room and an indoor soft play area for young children.

Our fully equipped shop stocks all the essentials, including daily papers, stamps, fresh milk and freshly baked bread and pastries. In our off-licence section you will find a variety of beers and wines, including locally brewed ale and farm cider. We also sell a range of local foods as well as gifts and souvenirs to take home. Our evening takeaway food service has an extensive menu offering a break from cooking.

Within a few minutes drive there are several village inns serving excellent liquid refreshments, including locally brewed ales.
