Kids will love playing on the Heart of Devon's beaches. Exmouth and Dawlish Warren have plenty of seafront attractions to keep families occupied when tired of building sandcastles, or if you prefer somwhere a little quieter head to the pebble beaches of Branscombe, Beer and Seaton. 

When it's not beach weather, there are plenty of activities to keep kids entertained. Enjoy safe, traffic-free walking and cycling trails at Haldon Forest Park and the Exe Estuary Trail; go boating - whether it's canoeing along the Exeter Canal, taking a horse drawn barge trip in Tiverton, or heading out to sea on a Jurassic Coast boat trip with Stuart Line Cruises; or why not take your kids back in time at one of the region's exciting castles or museums, where they can take part in hands-on activities!

The Heart of Devon's family attractions include thrilling adventure parks, such as Crealy, Escot Park and Diggerland where kids can drive real diggers! Animal lovers should head to the Donkey Sanctuary to meet over 400 rescued donkeys, or visit the Miniature Pony Centre in Dartmoor National Park. Why not try something a bit different with llama trekking at Peak Hill Llamas, or falconry at Yarak Birds of Prey?

For those with a head for heights, a visit to Go Ape! should not be missed. There is also good old fashioned fun to be had at Seaton Tramway, the South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh and Pecorama in Beer.
